I was anticipating a rather short conversation on pop outs, axe murderers and perhaps people getting limbs chopped off because you know… seventh grade. I very quickly realized I lost my flare for a good theme, my ability to think outside the box.

His story will live on in this community and beyond, through the stories we choose to tell and the stories we choose to create.

Every time I work on a production of Hairspray with students, an incredible story unfolds.

I love the lessons and I love my students…so why does it feel so challenging? Why don’t I feel nearly as fulfilled?

I think I have had my adult feelings hurt more by tweens than I have by adults. I’m not entirely sure what that says about me…
